Worship Team

16 Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
(Colossians 3:16)

As believers, we are all called to serve the body of Christ. The criteria for choosing a church should not be based on what you “get out of it”, but by how you can use your gifts to build up other believers. The worship team is a great place to use the musical gifts that the Lord has given you, and we are always looking for more people to join the team. We currently are looking for:

Vocalists
Instrumentalists
Audio/Video Techs

We typically have two practices – on Wednesday afternoons @ 3pm and Sunday morning @ 8am.  We have a desire to impact our community, so a couple times during the year there are opportunities to play in a more public setting at various events. These include parades, outside services & community events.

We have three introductory requirements:
1. Pursuit of Godliness
2. Musical Skill
3. Natural Expressiveness

If you desire to get more information or join the team, talk to Russ Brier for an interview & audition.

Student Discipleship Team

5 “you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
6 “And these words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart;
7 and you shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
(Deuteronomy 6:5-7)

The Student Discipleship Team is made up of qualified adults (as presented in our policies manual) who love children and envision every young person growing rapidly in Christ-likeness including Christ’s priorities of loving for God, loving for one another, and living the mission. This team leads and staffs these ministries:
Nursery  (Babies – 3 years)
Children (4 years – 5th grade)
Youth (6th-12th grades)

Adult Discipleship Team

24 “Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds,
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.”
(Hebrews 10:24-25)

The Adult Discipleship Team envisions every member of CPF growing rapidly in Christ-likeness including Christ’s priorities of loving for God, loving for one another, and living the mission.

This team serves us by providing two important means God uses to grow us: Life Groups and accountability partnerships.   (In the Bible we have counted 16 ways God uses to grow us in Christ-likeness, which you will find on the “How to Grow” page.)

We also offer leadership development, classes, seminars and individualized training.

We are glad to help you find a Life Group, partner(s) and other growth opportunities that are the right fit for you.
